Character Sheet
The character sheet is a two-column layout with a header, left sidebar, and tabbed right panel. All sections can be reordered or hidden via Sheet Layout settings.
Delta Numeric Fields
All numeric fields (HP, TempHP, ability scores, currency, XP, equipment quantity) support delta input:
type +5 or -7 to add or subtract from the current value, or type a plain number to set directly.
Press Enter or click away to commit. HP, TempHP, and XP save immediately; other fields save with the Edit button.
Top Banner
The dark top banner is split into three equal columns. Left: portrait, name, race/class subtitle, level/XP line.
Center (2x2 grid): Inspiration button | Short Rest button on the top row; d20 / ADV / DIS chips | Long Rest button on the bottom.
The d20 chip rolls a plain d20 (using the current advantage/disadvantage mode if any). The ADV and DIS chips toggle that mode (filled = active).
Right: Print, Edit/Save/Cancel, Level Up, Settings menu — right-justified.
Portrait: click it to view full-size in a lightbox overlay (click anywhere to dismiss).
XP: click the "X / Y XP" value to open a popover with a delta-input field (+25/-10/500) plus quick-add buttons (+25, +100, +250, +500, +1000).
Stat row below the banner: ability score boxes, Proficiency, Walking Speed, and HP card (Current/Max/Temp HP all editable with delta input).
Under the "Hit Points" label is a Death Saves button that opens a popover with the success/failure circles, Reset, and Drop to 0 HP actions.
Defenses & Conditions card (right of HP): shows resistances, immunities, and condition immunities as chips (outlined green = resistance, filled green = immunity, filled blue = condition immunity). Common racial defenses are auto-applied (Fey Ancestry → sleep immunity, Dwarven Resilience → poison resistance, Tiefling → fire resistance, Aasimar → necrotic+radiant, Stout Halfling → poison, Dragonborn → element from ancestry). Below the chips, defensive notes list situational damage reductions and unusual defenses (Heavy Armor Master only while in heavy armor, Rage / Bear Totem only while raging, Uncanny Dodge, Evasion, Stillness of Mind, Diamond Soul, Aura of Protection, Indomitable, Magic Resistance, race save advantages like Brave / Gnome Cunning / poison-save advantage / charm-save advantage, Unarmored Defense formula when applicable). Each note has a yellow label; hover for the full rules text. A small dropdown next to Conditions opens a quickselect menu of all 14 standard conditions.
Left Sidebar
Default order: Saving Throws → Passive Perception → Exhaustion → Resources → Active Buffs → Profs & Training → House Rules. All sections are configurable via the Sheet Layout editor.
| Section | Description |
|---|---|
| Saving Throws | Two-column compact grid — STR/INT, DEX/WIS, CON/CHA. Click anywhere on a row (non-edit) to roll the save. In edit mode, click the proficiency icon to toggle. |
| Passive Perception | 10 + WIS mod + Perception proficiency bonus (+ feat bonuses like Observant) |
| Exhaustion | Only renders when level > 0 or in edit mode. Level 0-6 with +/- controls and effect descriptions per house rule. |
| Resources | Tracked resources (Rage, Ki, Sorcery Points, Bardic Inspiration, Luck Points from feats, etc.) — displays available/max. Click − to spend one, + to recover one. Click the count text to edit max uses. Remove (X) only renders in edit mode. Power button appears for resources whose name matches a toggleable feature (Rage, Wild Shape, Bladesong, etc.); one click activates (consumes a use AND flips the feature on) and another deactivates (no refund, RAW). Stance toggles (Reckless Attack, Sneak Attack, Hide in Plain Sight) appear as toggle-only rows with no count. Active rows get a green-tinted background + "● ACTIVE" label. (see Class Resources) |
| Active Buffs | Temporary spell/potion/item effects with duration and concentration tracking (see Active Buffs) |
| Profs & Training | Armor, Weapons, Tools (click to toggle expertise), Languages. In edit mode add/remove via close-chip + add dropdown. |
| House Rules | Summary of active house rules (if non-RAW) |
| Other layout-editor sections (hidden by default; can be added via /settings/layout): Ability Scores, Death Saves (moved to HP card popover), Hit Dice (moved into Short/Long Rest dialog), Conditions (moved to Defenses card), Inspiration (moved to banner), Rest Actions (moved to banner), Currency (moved to Equipment tab). | |
Right Panel Tabs
| Tab | Contents |
|---|---|
| Skills and Attacks are now fixed-position cards in the middle/right column (not tabs). The right-column tabbed panel contains: | |
| Spells | Spell slots (circles filled when available, outlined when expended; click any circle to ±1; per-level header shows "(available/max)"), spellcasting info, spell list with view-mode filter (see Spells) |
| Equipment | Full inventory with weight, attunement, encumbrance tracking, and the Currency block prepended (see Equipment) |
| Features | Traits and features grouped by source (racial, class, background, feats). Racial traits parsed from race/subrace data. In edit mode: add features from any source, remove features |
| Companions | Familiars, beast companions, summoned creatures, mounts. Click Add Companion to pick from 6 presets (Owl, Cat, Hawk, Raven, Wolf, Warhorse) or build custom. Track HP and dismiss separately |
| History | Version timeline with rollback (see Versioning) |
| Notes | Personality, appearance, allies/enemies, backstory |
Action Buttons
Edit / Save / Cancel — toggle edit mode for ability scores, skills, proficiencies, languages, and more. All changes are held in memory until Save (creates snapshot) or Cancel (reverts everything). Note: quantity, currency, HP, TempHP, and XP no longer require edit mode — they save immediately.
Level Up — advance your character (see Leveling Up)
Print (printer icon) — download a PDF character sheet
Settings menu (labeled ⚙ Settings ▾ button, replaces the old three-dots kebab): Wild Shape/Polymorph, Grant Feature (add features from any source — class, feat, optional, custom), House Rules (per-character editor), Copy/Move to Campaign, Remove from Campaign (only when in a campaign — clears the campaign association so the character's personal house rules take over; confirmation dialog explains the side effect), Export (JSON, PDF, FoundryVTT), Sharing, Delete Character
Printing
Click the print icon (printer) in the character sheet header to print your character sheet. The print view uses comprehensive print CSS that hides all UI chrome (navigation, app bar, buttons, dialogs), forces light-friendly colors, adds table borders, uses compact font sizing, and sets up proper page breaks. The page is formatted for letter-size paper with 0.5-inch margins.
Sharing
Characters can be shared via public links that anyone can view without logging in. See Character Sharing for full details. From the More menu, click Enable Sharing to generate a share token, then Copy Share Link to copy the public URL to your clipboard.
